St Rose of Lima
SAINT ROSE OF LIMA PARISH
Saint Rose of Lima Parish is a beautiful, thriving parish in Haddon Heights NJ. Their primary interest online was providing a complimentary website to augment their recent new school website. Additionally, Religious Education is a primary concern for the website in order to act as both library of trusted resources and a news stand for ongoing schedules and upcoming events.
The Challenge
Integrate several different websites into one hub. There was an online bulletin, a school website & a separate landing page for religious education.
What We Did
We created a site that placed all areas to be emphasized front and center. There is a large graphic that highlights the current major event. We also took care to make the site fully responsive.
What We Achieved
In addition to the stated goals, we introduced a RESPONSIVE DESIGN to increase legibility on mobile devices. The ability to easily navigate the website on mobile devices improved viewership and decreased the bounce rate, making the St. Rose website an effective communication tool.
The demographics were surprising as well with
85% of users being over the age of 34. This result belied the preconception that "only the kids" were using the internet to interact with the Church online. As for gender,
68.5% were female. 71% of users were local to the parish.
