St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish was formed in December, 2010 as a merger of four churches - St. James in Penns Grove, Corpus Christi in Carneys Point, Queen of the Apostles in Pennsville, and St. Mary in Salem. It is the only Catholic parish in the Diocese of Camden located and sited entirely in Salem County, encompassing 175 square miles.

The Challenge

The challenge was to unite three churches into one parish.  St James, a former local area church was closed, leaving parishioners a choice to stay in the area or travel to find a less local parish.  Furthermore, Salem county, the designated parish area, encompasses 175 square miles.  For some, neighboring parishes might be closer than one of the remaining three locations within the parish.

What We Did

We built a brand identity that paid homage to all three remaining churches and used the "wings" of St Gabriel the Archangel to graphically serve as the instrument of unification.  Additionally, we commissioned a local photographer to take photos to demonstrate the individual beauty of each.
What We Achieved

St Gabriel the Archangel parish now has a completely optimized website that provides device appropriate options for users.  Furthermore, it can be toggle translated from English to Spanish.  The maintenance of the website is handled at the parish by the bulletin secretary.  Over 6,000 parishioners have enjoyed the beauty and functionality of upgraded parish website.
