OUR LADY OF PEACE PARISH

Transition the parishioners of a closed parish into a newly formed parish with an existing neighboring parish effectively.  Honoring the existing church is as important as developing the new identity of the new combined parish.
The Challenge

Brand Identity was the major marketing challenge here.  After talking with the parish council representatives, we decided to produce new brand identity pieces including a logo that could be used in print and onscreen.  There also was an administrative challenge to migrate from their server based email system to a cloud based system.  We decided on Google Suite for Non Profits.  The program is excellent and free to those who qualify.

What We Did

First, we made a visit to the grounds and took a hard look at the facilities and the people.  We took stock through photography and iconography and came up with new brand identity graphics. Specifically, we used the both names now associated with the account and the beautiful stained glass and murals within the sanctuary .  Therefore, we acknowledged the newly formed parish and the existing historic church, St Mary in the branding.  We also integrated video, form collection, and analytics to the new website we produced for them.
What We Achieved
After delivering a complete website, we then came in a trained the staff how to maintain it locally. However, we also did behind the scene work to include submitting site map to google, installing Google Webmaster and Google Analytics to monitor usage of the site.   Google Analytics help us discover the overwhelming majority of their parishioners visited the site via mobile devices.  This helps us pay special attention to these platforms when updating the website.  Fortunately, we utilize a proprietary content management system which allows for individual editing for different devices with ease.
